「存在の層」
この絵画シリーズは、細胞分裂とビッグバン、DNAと魂など、ミクロとマクロの世界をアクリル板の層を重ねることで表現しています。
現代物理学における量子力学は、光が粒子としても波としても振る舞うという二重性を明らかにしました。この発見が示すように、私たちの世界は対極的なものが重なり合い、同時に存在しているのだと感じています。2017年の研究でもこの理解が深まり、私の作品の根底には、対立する要素が融合し、無限に重なり合う世界観が広がっています。
私が描くテーマのひとつは、ミクロとマクロの世界における偶然の一致です。宇宙で起こったマクロな出来事が、一人の人間の体内で行われるミクロな出来事と奇妙なほどに似通っていることに気づきました。私が思春期の頃、女性の子宮内で、地球と生命の誕生がわずか十ヶ月ほどで再現されているように感じました。何もない空間から、生と死が現れ、細胞分裂が始まり、微生物、両生類、そして最終的には肺呼吸を持つ霊長類が誕生する過程が、まるで地球誕生のプロセスを反映しているかのようでした。地球の誕生、生命の誕生、そして人間の発展というプロセスは、壮大なスケールでも、個々の生命体の中でも繰り返されているように見えます。私は、これらの出来事が実は全て「一つのこと」として繋がっているのではないかと感じました。この発見から、時間や空間を超えた場所で起こる出来事が、実は同じ本質を持つ一つの事象に過ぎないのではないか、という思いが生まれました。
私の絵には、見る人によって異なる解釈をもたらす要素が含まれています。ある人はそれを海のように、またある人は宇宙のように見るかもしれません。さらに、空間を彷徨う魂が、細胞分裂を始める受精卵に向かって突進しているようなシーンとしても捉えられるように描かれています。
このシリーズにおいて、私はレイヤーという手法を意図的に選びました。なぜなら、私自身、すべての存在が異なる次元のレイヤーの重なり合いで成り立っていると感じているからです。それぞれのレイヤーは、微小な生命の誕生から壮大な宇宙の起源に至るまで、無限の階層的なつながりを象徴しています。
"Layers of Existence"
This series of paintings expresses the micro and macro worlds of cell division, the Big Bang, DNA, and the soul, by layering acrylic sheets.
In modern physics, quantum mechanics has revealed the dual nature of light, which behaves both as a particle and as a wave. This discovery suggests that our world is made up of opposing forces that overlap and coexist simultaneously. Research in 2017 deepened this understanding, and at the core of my work is the belief that opposing elements merge, creating a world of infinite layers.
One of the themes I explore is the surprising similarities between the micro and macro worlds. I noticed that the macro events that take place in the universe are strangely similar to the micro processes occurring inside a single human body. When I was in my adolescence, I felt that the birth of Earth and life was being replicated within the womb, over the course of just about ten months. From a void, life and death emerge, cell division begins, microorganisms evolve, amphibians form, and ultimately, a primate with lungs capable of breathing air is born. This process seems to mirror the birth of Earth itself. The processes of Earth's creation, the birth of life, and human development appear to repeat, both on a grand scale and within individual life forms. I began to feel that all of these events might actually be interconnected as one single phenomenon. From this realization came the idea that events occurring across time and space may share the same essence, and are ultimately just different manifestations of one thing.
My paintings contain elements that allow for diverse interpretations. Some may see them as oceans, while others may view them as the cosmos. Furthermore, they can also be seen as a scene where a soul, drifting through space, rushes toward a fertilized egg as cell division begins.
In this series, I intentionally chose the technique of layering. This choice stems from my belief that all existence is made up of overlapping layers from different dimensions. Each layer symbolizes the infinite, hierarchical connections that span from the smallest life forms to the origins of the vast cosmos.
